MEET OUR MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

 

With over six years of experience, Karen offers specialized therapy for pre-teens, teens, and adults to support growth and healing through challenges including depression, anxiety, anger management, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief/loss, and trauma.

 

She assists clients in building foundations of knowledge to develop insight, overcome obstacles, and make lasting changes by drawing from evidence-based models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Her eclectic approach allows for individualized treatment to address each client's unique needs in safe and nonjudgmental spaces.

 

Karen's background is in Education as a teacher for various grade levels from 4th through 8th grade and then as a high school counselor. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from the University of Arizona in 2016 and began her career as a mental health therapist at the Arizona Women’s Recovery Center. Karen has a private practice but also partners as a therapist with Center for Fertility and Reproductive Counseling, she currently meets with clients full-time in-person and through telehealth. Karen Cobb is under the direct supervision of AZBBHE approved therapist Kim Kriesel, LPC , PMH-C (AZ19252)
