MEET OUR PERINATAL THERAPIST

Arizona native Kim Kriesel is passionate about helping women and families on their journey to and through motherhood. No two women will experience the road to motherhood in the same way and sometimes becoming a mom is not the experience we had anticipated for most of our lives.

Kim earned her undergraduate in business and her master's in clinical mental health counseling through University of Phoenix. She also has advanced training and experience in the areas of infertility, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy trauma and infant loss.

As a certified provider of Compassionate Bereavement Care through international nonprofit MISS Foundation, she is also trained in trauma work utilizing EMDR psychotherapy. She has also been recognized by the International Association of Trauma Professionals as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Additionally, the Chandler resident has volunteered in her community as a member of the Crisis Response Team for Chandler Fire Department.

Although Kim and her husband are now parents to two healthy young children, the couple struggled with infertility and had devastating losses along the way. In overcoming her own grief and transitioning to a place of peace and acceptance, her passion now lies in helping those who are also experiencing infertility and loss. She knows the challenges, desperation, anxiety, sadness and isolation firsthand that accompany an infertility journey. In working with her clients, Kim exudes warmth, deep understanding, unwavering support and a unique way of bringing understanding, positive perspective and resolution to situations that can seem unbearably sad.

In her time away from work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, traveling and taking the occasional trip to the spa. She looks forward to helping all women (and potential parents) reach a healthy and positive mental state that will propel them forward to the best possible mental health state as they pursue pregnancy and parenthood.
